Bloc Party - Intimacy - includes two tracks featuring Exmoor Singers. The main track recorded by the choir, Zephyrus, was arranged by Avshalom Caspi, with whom Exmoor Singers worked to produce arrangements for the BBC Electric Proms collaboration with Bloc Party in October 2007.

Snow Patrol - A Hundred Million Suns - includes a track featuring Exmoor Singers, arranged by Avshalom Caspi. Members of the choir subsequently performed the same song, The Lightning Strike, with Snow Patrol on LATER...With Jools Holland on BBC2 television.

My Kind of Carol - commissioned by The Tablet magazine and recorded in March 2007, this CD presents 21 Christmas carols, nominated by readers and contributors or specially selected by Exmoor Singers. The most voted for carol was O Holy Night [listen] . This compilation also includes a first recording of James Lavino's Peaceful was the night and a first recording of a carol based on an Alsatian cradle song At the Nativity [listen]. Other highlights include Jonathan Dove's The Three Kings and Malcolm Sargent's beautiful arrangement of Stille Nacht.

My Kind of Hymn - commissioned by The Tablet magazine, this CD presents the top 20 favourite hymns, as voted for by readers and contributors, such as 'How great Thou art' [listen], 'Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer', 'Amazing grace', and 'Be Thou my vision' [listen], 'Here I am, Lord' [listen].




Music from the New World - features works by American composers, such as Aaron Copland's 'In the beginning' and Samuel Barber's 'Agnus Dei'.

My Spirit Sang All Day - features a wide selection of spiritual choral works, from Orlando Gibbons' 'O clap your hands', to Gerald Finzi's 'My Spirit Sang All Day', to John Tavener's 'Funeral Ikos'.

Television

In October 2007 the choir collaborated with rock band Bloc Party in a live concert at the Camden Roundhouse as part of the BBC Electric Proms.

Unique choral arrangements of Bloc Party songs were commissioned, and the band and choir performed 12 numbers together in front of an audience of 3,000 people.

The concert was broadcast on BBC2 television and BBC Radio 1.

Members of the choir have since performed with another rock band, Snow Patrol, on BBC2 television on LATER...With Jools Holland.

The choir has been commissioned several times to record special programmes for BBC1's Songs of Praise and has recently recorded a BBC documentary on Handel's Messiah, to be broadcast on Good Friday 2009.

Exmoor Singers also appeared on BBC television on a number of occasions during the televised Sainsbury's Choir of the Year competitions, culminating in the choir being awarded the accolade of Sainsbury's Mixed Voice Choir of the Year in 1998.



Radio

Two recordings from Exmoor Singers' CD "CURTAIN" were featured on Classic FM's 'The Full Works' on 29 August 2008. The recordings were the first to be selected from the many submitted by choirs from around the UK for a competition organised by Classic FM in collaboration with Making Music. Two other recordings from the CD were featured on BBC Radio 3's The Choir.

The Tallis Festival 2007, hosted by Exmoor Singers, was recorded by the BBC and featured on Radio 3's The Choir on 28 October 2007.

Exmoor Singers was commissioned by composer Philip Godfrey to record his setting of Christina Rossetti's poem 'When I am dead, my dearest, sing no sad songs for me' so that it could feature on BBC Radio 3's Private Passions.

The recording was broadcast in August 2005.



Art installation

In 2005, Exmoor Singers was commissioned by artist Louise K Wilson to be recorded and filmed within the former military buildings on Orford Ness in Suffolk. The sound and film formed part of a temporary art installation A Record Of Fear commissioned by Commissions East and the National Trust. The project included recording a new commissioned work by composer Yannis Kyriakides.

Exmoor Singers recorded an original sound-track, composed by Avshalom Caspi, for a documentary film on the Crusades.

'The Crusades: Crescent and the Cross' was first broadcast on British television on the History Channel in November 2005, and is now available on DVD.
