The Tallis Festival 2010

On behalf of Exmoor Singers of London we would like to welcome you to the Tallis Festival 2010!

    • When you arrive at the start of the Festival weekend (either Fri or Sat) please register at the desk to receive your welcome pack in which you will find a:

  • Name badge - we would like to know who you are.
  • Pencil - you have no excuse for not marking your score.
  • Rehearsal schedule - so you know what's happening.
  • Choir allocations - so you know what to sing.
  • Seating plans for rehearsals - so you know where to sit.
  • Lunch advice - the most important sheet!
  • Map of the local area - so you can't get too lost.
  • Travel advice to get to the Union Chapel - ditto.
  • Music you have ordered and not yet received.
  • Crib sheets to give you a clue from the start.

    • Important Points


  • Entrance to Imperial College is by swipe card only so please try to arrive promptly for all rehearsals so we can let you in.

  • Refreshments will be available before rehearsals and during coffee breaks. Tea, coffee and biscuits are free. Bottled water will be available at 50p per bottle,

  • You must not take and food or drink, except bottled water, into the rehearsal room,

  • Please do not leave your valuables unattended,

  • Please wear layered clothing - we are not able to control the temperature at Imperial College or the Union Chapel so please be warned!

  • The concert will be recorded for archive purposes, it is taken that by your participation in the Tallis Festival you agree to have your part in the performance recorded and waive all rights to the recording.

    Party


    We very much hope you will come and join us at the party on Saturday evening. We will provide some party food but please bring a bottle, or 2 of whatever you would like to drink.


    Concert Dress

    The heating will be on at the Union Chapel well in advance of our arrival but it is a very large building so please ensure that your concert dress will be reasonably warm. Concert dress will be:

    Women: All black (sparkly jewellery allowed)

    Men: All black

    The choir will be performing from a raked stage and in the gallery so please wear sensible footwear.


    Concert Tickets

    Are FREE!! So please bring all your friends and family along to what is going to be an amazing concert! The audience will be invited after the concert to make donations on their way out of the concert in lieu of an admission charge.

    Post-Concert Celebrations

    The Union Chapel bar will be open before, during the interval and after the concert so please don't go home without coming and saying goodbye.

    Concert Recording

    Copies of the archive recording on CD for Tallis Festival 2010 will be available shortly after the Festival. The cost will be £6.50 to cover recording, reproduction and postage. If you would like to purchase one you can pre-order during the Festival weekend or email: tallis@exmoorsingers.org

    Feedback Questionnaire

    Shortly after the Festival we will also be asking you to take part in an online questionnaire so we can get your anonymous feedback on the whole event. Please take the time to complete this as we use all of your feedback to improve next year.
